Rambam (Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon, or Maimonid, 1138-1204) - an outstanding Jewish philosopher, rabbi, doctor and scientist, codifier of the laws of the Torah. This book, telling about the life of Rambam, was created on the basis of documentary evidence of him and miraculously preserved in the Cairo genius of letters of the great thinker to his brother, friends and students. “Working on the book,” the author emphasizes, “I was imbued with the understanding that the Rambam is not only the teacher of the Torah, but also the person, full of great love for all Jews and more than once for them, setting up their lives under the blow.”
