The book of one of the largest psychologists of the 20th century Alfred Adler, who created his own direction in psychology, is devoted to the consideration of the problems of the formation of the child’s psyche and the problems of education, which allows Adler to consider not only as a great psychologist, but also a talented teacher. The key concepts of the theory are the “complex of inferiority” and “desire for power” - the main driving forces of a person on the path to self -development. As a result of an imminent clash with such life problems as love, professional activity, position in society, a person strives for personal superiority, power and significance through the activation of social interest. According to Adler, each person has a certain “life style” based on an unconscious effect of the educational process and social adaptation. First of all, the dominant role is played by the family as the most significant social group that the child falls into from birth. Adler considers the most important preparation of the child for his social role in accordance with the tender affiliation - the role of a woman or man.
