The appearance of the first railways in the Russian Empire, the development and further functioning of this type of transport represents one of the most interesting pages in the history of our country. For rather short on the standards of human life, the period of railways stretched along the vast territories of Russia, connected among themselves cities, villages, industrial enterprises and peoples with different culture, religion and lifestyle. It was the XIX century, the time when everyone had uniforms in Russia, from a student in a small village to the emperor in the capital. The first railway workers carried their service on military charters, wore an outfit made for the samples of the form of the army and fleet.
The author managed to be most fully and in detail, with the involvement of a large number of interesting historical documents and illustrative material to show how the uniforms of employees who worked on the railways of the Russian Empire changed.
The book will be useful to collectors, workers of museums, staff of film studios and all those who are interested in the history of Russia railway transport
