Based on the classification of tumors of the nervous system by the WHO (Lyon, 2000), CT and MRI images of various histological types of brain tumors are presented. The feature of these images is the demonstration not only of the tumor itself, but also the presence of other sections that evaluate the surrounding tissues and structures of the brain. In our opinion, this is important for making the right decision not only in characterizing the tumor itself, but also in accompanying brain changes.
In addition, the manual provides images of brain tumors based on craniography, digital subtraction angiography, single-photon emission computed tomography, and positron emission tomography.
The manual is primarily intended for practicing radiologists working in departments of computer and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as specialists in radiological diagnostics, neurosurgeons, and neurologists.
