Radio Liberty as a literary project. A socio-cultural phenomenon of foreign radio broadcasting

The monograph is based on a scientific study in which the broadcast of Radio Liberty is first considered in the context of the heritage of the literature of the Russian foreign countries. The book is built on unique transmissions that have historical and literary value, recreated by the author in archival records. Some of them were not previously published. For the first time, an attempt was made to analyze programs with the participation of emigrant writers in different periods of broadcasting, and systematizing records from an audio archive on topics and genres. Particular attention is paid to the modern period of broadcasting of freedom, the adaptation of the radio to the new multimedia environment, and the transformation of the editorial policy is traced.
The book is addressed to students and teachers studying the history of Russian abroad and broadcasting of foreign stations in Russian, journalists and literary critics specializing in modern literature, as well as to all those who are not indifferent to the fate of Russian culture.
