The eleventh issue of the series "Questions of Speech Culture" is based on the texts of reports presented at the II International Conference "Culture of the Russian Language," held at the V.V. Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences on October 4-6, 2010. The collection is dedicated to the issues of the correlation between the system, norm, and usage in contemporary Russian language. The topics of the articles included in the collection vary greatly. These are articles dedicated to speech culture as a special section of the language science, articles on the speech culture of speakers of modern Russian, on new grammatical and syntactic constructions and speech genres, on the correlation between the system, norm, and usage in different functional styles and regional variants of the Russian language. A number of works are devoted to discussing controversial issues of orthoepic, orthographic, and grammatical norms. The collection is intended for a wide range of readers: not only philologists, Russian language teachers, writers, and journalists, but also for anyone concerned about the issues of the culture of their native speech.
