The book describes the methods of calculating the quasi-stationary electromagnetic field of closed and open multi-connected non-magnetic shells with inhomogeneous in anisotropic conductivity. The calculation is based on the replacement of the shell of the conductive surface and the scalar integral equation for the function of the vortex current. Considerable attention is paid to the obvious ideas of the operator of the integral equation, the study of its properties, estimates of the integral parameters of the electromagnetic process and the approximate formulas. Considered and transitional modes for fixed and moving shells are considered. There are numerous examples of calculations. The effectiveness of the theory is demonstrated by the tasks of the electrodynamic suspension of vehicles, on the loss of vortex currents in the shell-screens of the cryoturbogenerator and the transport crimerodule.
