Based on the modern characteristics of the economy and lifestyle, the role of the quality of providing tourist services and serving tourists is presented. Historical and theoretical justifications for the development of the vector of tourist services are given both in Russia and in foreign countries. The main characteristics of the quality of service at all stages of creating a tour product and its practical implementation are identified and presented. The interconnection of all links of the services provided within the tour product and the importance of quality service for each of them are justified.
