Pavel Vasilievich Annenkov went down in history as one of the founders of Pushkinism, the author of the first critically prepared collected works of Alexander Sergeyevich and the vast biography of the poet - "Materials for the biography of Pushkin". In 1874, having gathered new ones and gaining the opportunity (after Alexander II of censorship reform) to publish many old materials, Annenkov published the book "Pushkin in the Alexander era". In this study, the author turned to the childhood and youth of the poet and to the early period of his work. From the work, the reader learns about the lyceum years of the poet, his relationship with Alexander I and the Decembrists. The latter were rather a symbol of independent aristocracy and the romance of a secret society for Alexander Sergeyevich than expressors of specific political ideas
