This textbook consists of two parts dedicated to the publicistic works of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome respectively. The author focuses on several questions: oral and written publicistic works, communication platforms of antiquity (ancient Greek agora and gymnasiums, ancient Roman forum), means of communication (inscriptions, letters). A separate paragraph is devoted to the history and content of the ancient Roman proto-newspaper. The method of presentation in most paragraphs of the textbook is anthropological. The narrative revolves around the life and work of various publicists of Antiquity. The publicistic activities of Isocrates, Demosthenes, and Cicero are extensively discussed. The textbook is supplemented with reference-historical material.
