Irwin Yalom wrote a great novel about the birth of psychotherapy. He came up with a story that unfolds in Vienna late XIX, placing real heroes in fictional circumstances. Friedrich Nietzsche suffers from his passion for the Russian beauty Lu Salome, the teacher of the young Freud, Dr. Breyer, is tormented by pathological love for the former patient, they both become psychotherapists of each other, and in front of us is a stunning drama of great people. This novel is based on historical facts, but gradually immerses us in the area of fantasy, capturing with such force that reality from an invented plot can no longer be distinguished
