The treatise on the self-knowledge of John Mason (1706-1763) was first published in 1745 and withstood many reprints both in England and in other countries.
In Russia, this work became known, thanks to the professor of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, Karpov Vasily Nikolaevich. The publication, as well as the second and third reprints of the treatise “On Self -Cognition” were actively supported by the Russian clergy of the late 19th century.

Returning the treatise to the modern reader, we hope that he will help him in this difficult time
