The monograph consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to the description of the evolution of views on thinking in philosophy and psychology, the origins of the formation of the philosophical paradigm and its influence on the psychological. The second part sets out the main modern approaches to the description of emotions (psychophysiological, environmentally friendly and sociocultural), as well as the basic ideas of the semiotic model of emotions, uniting them into a systemic whole. The book will be interesting to a wide range of specialists who are interested in theoretical grounds for research and emotions, as well as the methodological aspects of modern sciences about a person as a whole
