The team of authors reveals the theme of the formation of the viability of the replacing family. Features of the diagnosis of viability, resource of replacing families and the development of these qualities in the process of learning in foster parents and during the further support of the family are described. Risk factors are analyzed, leading to the cancellation of the orphan device into a replacing family, and protective factors that contribute to the successful structure of the child into the family. It is discussed the need to supplement existing training programs with classes developed by the authors and aimed at improving the viability and resource of the replacing family. The program of a psychological examination of candidates for dysfunction is described, the use of a half -constructed interview, copyright tests "Family resources" and "vitality of an adult" were proposed. Particular attention is paid to the viability of the family and the child as a system -forming criteria for supporting families and as an important condition for the prevention of refusal of adoptive children
