The monograph contains literary information about the nature of stochastic processes and their participation in the work of the brain and human behavior. It has been established that real cognitive processes and mental functions are associated both with the procedural side of external events, and with the stochastic properties of the internal dynamics of brain systems in the form of fluctuations in their parameters, including the rhythm of the heart and the generation of sensorimotor reactions. It has been experimentally proven that the dynamics of the measured physiological processes is located in a row from the chaotic regime to a poorly determined - fractal regime. The fractal regime determines the maximum ordering and organization of homeostasis of cognitive processes and conditions, as well as the high adaptive ability of the body systems with fractal properties. The fractal -chaototic dynamics has beneficial quality for studying real physiological and mental systems - to have an unambiguous numerical definition of ordering and random processes by calculating fractal indices. The monograph presents the results of many years of experimental studies of reflection of the stochastic properties of sensorimotor reactions, as well as the stochastic properties of the cardihytm of children, adolescents and adults in the age aspect in speech activity and the perception of various musical fragments with their own frequency spectral structure.
Designed for undergraduates, graduate students and researchers performing scientific developments on cognitive psychology and psychophysiology
