The monograph presents the generalized results of the author’s scientific activity related to the diagnosis and phenomenological description of the state of self-awareness and the self-concept of persons with developmental disabilities, in particular with mental retardation of a mild degree. Methodologically substantiated options for diagnosing self -awareness and a comprehensive assessment of the personal adaptive potential of subjects of different ages with intellectual disorders. The presented methods allow you to form an individual adaptation profile on the basis of a quantitative assessment of qualitative indicators of adaptability/maladaptism. Separately, the substantive aspects of the formation of the antisocial potential of the personality with mild mental retardation are indicated, in particular, the problems of suggestibility, indocation and participation of persons in violation of intelligence in criminal communities.
