The textbook is dedicated to the physiological basics of mental activity and human behavior. In a historical retrospective, the object and objectives of psychophysiology are determined, the ideas about the mechanisms of mental activity from the position of the system approach are subject to the main methods of psycho-physiology and their applications. Theoretical models and specific data on psycho-physiological mechanisms of mental processes and functions (perception, attention, memory, speech, emotions, movements, etc) are given. In the section of age psychophysiology, problems and empirical data from the point of view of biological ripening, mental development and aging are presented. Psychophysiological ideas about individual differences (differential psychophysiology) are analyzed separately. In the section of applied psychophysiology, modern performances on social and clinical psychophysiology are given.
