The monograph is devoted to the development of a methodology of a differential integration approach to the study of the nature of special abilities. The mental carrier of general and special abilities are mental structures, the patterns of organization and formation of which are subject to the differential and integrational principle of development. Theoretical verification of this approach is implemented on the example of a multi-level substantiation (macro-, meso and microgenesis) ontological status of special chemical abilities. The patterns of the organization and formation of special chemical abilities are considered from the standpoint of the theory, experiment and practice. The paper presents the original toolkit for identifying and studying special abilities and diagnosing indicators of maturity of mental structures underlying them
