Real scientific work is the publication of the scientific heritage of a prominent physiologist and psychiatrist V.S. Derebabin. The monograph consists of three sections bearing the author’s names: "about consciousness", "o me", "about happiness". In the “On Consciousness” section, the problem of consciousness is considered in two aspects: the content of consciousness (social aspect) and its material substrate (psychophysiological aspect) In the section "O I", the author explores" as a subjective reflection of functional unity at the level of the cerebral cortex, intelligence and activity. In the “On Happiness” section, a psychophysiological analysis of the experience of happiness is carried out from the standpoint of psychology, physiology of higher nervous activity and psychopathology, and the social aspect of the problem is also considered in detail. The listed sections of the monographs combine both the content dedicated to the urgent problems of modern psychology, and the generality of consideration from the standpoint of dialectical materialism and psychophysiological unity. The monographs plan ways to develop such issues as the structure of the personality, the role of feelings and emotions in the motivation of the individual, and others, taking into account specific psychophysiological mechanisms.
