This volume continues the publication of the thematic collected works of the famous Russian psychologist, academician of the RAO, the Ordinary Professor of the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" Vladimir Petrovich Zinchenko (1931-2014) This volume includes works devoted to the problems of the functional structure and dynamics of action, the study of which the author was engaged in all his scientific activity. V.P. Zinchenko began his research in the field of psychology of action by studying the genesis and the formation of perceptual actions presented in the previously published volume "Perception and visual culture". His work was continued in experimental and theoretical studies of executive, mnemonic, mental actions. Based on the received data, V.P. Zinchenko proposed the original concept of mutual transitions of the external and internal forms of action when a person solves various problems. The author proposed an analysis of the philosophical and psychological provisions of the doctrine of action and the new prospects for the development of this subject area are outlined. The book is intended for psychologists, physiologists and philosophers, as well as for a wide range of readers who are interested in theoretical and experimental problems of psychology.
