The book of the famous American psychoanalyst Allan Comton is devoted to phobias and anxiety accompanying them. The author compares the psychoanalytic and psychiatric views on agorathobia and panic attacks, as well as the treatment of these conditions. An important part of this work is devoted to children"s phobias. The uniqueness of this book is that it is the first study of psychoanalytic treatment of phobic conditions. A. Comton raises the question - whether the theory of phobias should exist, i.e. Is it enough for different phobias of common features that can formulate general mechanisms and etiology.
