This monograph "psychoanalysis in portraits" is devoted to the analysis of the main schools of "orthodox" and modern psychoanalysis in the XX-XXI centuries. It does not only study the current state of psychoanalysis, but also the genealogy, evolution and mutual influence of its various schools are traced, as well as the correspondence between the schools of modern psychoanalysis and various philosophical movements: hermeneutics, phenomenology, and the philosophy of dialogue.
The expanded reprint of this book includes two new articles about the work of R. Fairburn and D. Winnikott, as well as the theory of injury, its consequences and treatment of Sh. Ferenci.
