The book presents a multidimensional resistance model proposed by the leader of modern cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy to Robert Liha. It is richly illustrated by examples of cases and vignettes of sessions and considers various ways in which customers can resist the main therapeutic procedures: non -compliance with the agenda and failure to fulfill homework, division of transfer with other therapists, inappropriate behavior and premature termination of work. Deep processes of resistance are investigated - from the desire for validation to aversion to risk and self -restraint. Also distinguished ways in which the therapist’s own reactions can inadvertently impede the change. Innovative instruments are provided for returning treatment in the right direction, including targeted interventions, session "experiments", as well as questionnaires and graphic models for customer exchange
