The book presents a view of the moral and moral assessment of actions from the standpoint of system-evolutionary theory. The phenomenon of morality is discussed in the context of sociocultural evolution. A critical overview of theoretical models of moral assessment of actions in connection with the problems of intuitive-rational and the role of emotions is given. The main provisions of the system-evolutionary approach to the description of the organization of behavior are considered. The results of studies of the authors of this book are discussed in the context of modern literature in the field of moral development, universal and sociocultural foundations of moral assessment. Special attention was paid to the characteristics of the moral assessment of Russians compared to residents of Western countries. The psychophysiological processes observed in the moral assessment of actions are considered, including an analysis of the characteristics of the heart rhythm as indicators of the dynamics of actualization of subjective experience.
