Mediation is a technology for solving a conflict involving a neutral third party. This third party in mediation has a radically different task than, say, in court. The judge listens to the parties and, based on the relevant articles of the law, makes a decision. The task of the mediator is much more complicated: he should help the conflicting parties to find a solution to the controversial issue. Thus, the mediator must have absolutely specific knowledge of how to organize the process of solving the conflict so that the conflicting parties are involved in the process of an absolutely voluntary creative search for such a decision of their dispute that would satisfy both sides and open up new possibilities of their further coexistence.
