Psychology as a science and psychotherapy as its practical application, as they develop, are more and more removed from each other. Scientific methods used in science, first of all, experiment and mathematical data processing, find their inapplicability in psychotherapy, where it is always about unique private cases.
In the monograph, an approach is proposed to apply scientific tools, including experiment and mathematization, to psychotherapeutic practice.
The work is based on the method of solving psychological problems itself using linguistic tools. Psycho -Sosemiotic analysis of texts is a study of the system elections of a particular person with the generation of the text. Such elections in the process of speaking or writing are made unconsciously, since the speaker is forced to perform them regularly and more often than every second, in the process of his verbal activity. The natural language offers an almost infinite set of ways to express the same thing differently, and each speaker, as our studies showed, systematically prefers some methods and rejects others.
Each linguistic choice contains values that are not reflected in the stream of speech, but which can be found using linguistic instruments themselves: formal semantics, deep syntax, etc. These unconscious meanings are directly related to the existential picture of the speaker’s world, with his identity .
The results of the search for the existential component of statements are tested using non -quinitative mathematical methods that are not used, as far as is known, in experimental psychology, although they are successfully used in biology, in particular, in genetics.
The book is of interest to psychotherapists of various schools, for psychologists working in the field of experimental psychology, for linguists involved in the problems of formal semantics and deep syntax, as well as for humanitarian researchers using semiotic and structuralist approaches in the study of literature, theater and theater and theater and theater and theater cinema, modern folklore, etc
