The monograph discusses issues of empirical study of the modern acoustic environment, the role of information and communication technologies in the evolution of the hearing system - an acoustic environment, as well as technological trends in the dynamics of the urban acoustic environment. Particular attention is paid to issues of preserving data on the composition of the environment of the acoustic environment. The issues of creating a "museum" of the acoustic environment as an element of the program of preservation of cultural heritage are considered. The issues of psychological reconstruction of the acoustic events of the past, as well as the prospects for the reconstruction of the acoustic environment, are considered according to the evolution of the acoustic function of humans and animals
