Fairy tales are a direct reflection of the mental processes of the collective unconscious, therefore, in their value for scientific research, they surpass any other material. In fairy tales, archetypes appear in the simplest, pure and brief form, thanks to this, archetypal images give us the key to understand the processes occurring in the collective psyche.
In myths, legends or other more detailed mythological material, we come to an understanding of the basic structural formations (patterns) of the human psyche, comprehending them through cultural layers. Such specific cultural layers in fairy tales are much smaller, and therefore they with greater clarity reflect the basic patterns of the psyche
