The book of one of the largest psychologists of the twentieth century Alfred Adler, who created his own direction in psychology, is devoted to the consideration of the basic dichotomy of the human psyche: male female, and the problem of harmonizing their relations. The personality determines the nature of sexual aspirations, and not biological sexual needs form a personality, which is exactly the opposite of Freud"s theory.
At the same time, the viability and very identity of the personality is traced by the author in three basic spheres of manifestation of man: sociality, professional development and the sphere of love and marriage. Much attention is paid to the author of the interaction of the sexes. The famous Freudian position of women as the lower creatures that envy the male nature, Adler contrasts a new interpretation.
According to his ideas, the inferiority complex is formed in women as a result of sociocultural experience. In many cultures, a woman is staring stereotypically, and a man has a higher status. Adler believes that the relations of spouses will be the most favorable and harmonious in family relationships that cooperate with each other in equal positions
