The book is dedicated to the middle of life and what is called the "crisis of the middle of life today.
During this period, a transition from one psychological identity to another occurs, a crisis of the spirit arises, and the old selfs are lost in this crisis and new ones arise. It is this internal activity and meaning of this transition that the author explores. Having taken the psychological events taking place in the middle of life as the initial material, he does not ignore the serious interpersonal and social consequences of these important events that occur in the spiritual depths of the individual.
In this book, the author does not offer decisions regarding the crisis of the middle of life and does not give any specific recipes for overcoming the frightening forces that are sometimes acted. He only recommends the way to enter the sphere of the psyche and passing through it.
