Monograph “Higher Crimean functions of a person "is the main work of A. R. Luria in neuropsychology - a scientific discipline that has developed at the junction of psychology, medicine (neurology, neurosurgery) and physiology.
In this work, for the first time in a systematic form, the main provisions of neuropsychology are presented, the historical continuity of neuropsychology as the science of the cerebral basis of the psyche is shown, the basic neuropsychological concepts (mental function, syndrome, symptom, factor, etc) are determined, a new understanding of the highest mental mental is given functions as units of neuropsychological analysis of the consequences of local brain lesions, the theory of systemic dynamic localization of higher mental functions is formulated and neuropsychological methods of studying are described
