Ernest Jones (1879-1958) was a student and ally of Z. Freud. His book "Hamlet and Oedipus" (1949) has already become a classic of psychoanalysis. According to Jones, the “main topic of the story of Hamlet is nothing more than a very confused and veiled story about the son’s love for his mother and, as a result, about his jealousy and hatred of his father.”
