The psychiatrist and forensic scientist Cesare Lombroso went down in history as the author of the theory about the biological predisposition of people to certain matrices of actions, including the commission of crimes - a theory that, to a certain extent laid the foundation for modern criminal anthropology, criminal psychology and forensic psychiatry.
Most often, acquaintance with Lombroso begins with "genius and insanity", work, which sets out the grounds for the author’s concept on the example of social extremes: outstanding people who show extraordinary abilities and have a serious influence on the development of society, and mentally inferior people. Lombroso himself considered this book the key to understanding the "mysterious essence of the genius".
