The textbook is an addition to the course of lectures read at the faculties of psychology, where clinical psychology is one of the sections of this discipline. This publication has amended taking into account the 11th international classification of diseases, changes in which are also affected by the classification aspects of mental disorders.
In order to implement the principle of systematicity in mastering knowledge in pathopsychology, the material is given in the context of general and clinical psychology, which facilitates the integral assimilation of the specifics of this science and understanding its place among other adjacent sciences.
In accordance with the requirements of didactics, the structuring of the material is built on the principle of "from simple to complex", at the end of each paragraph, verification questions are proposed, finding the answers to which in the text of the book forms the reader"s core knowledge.
In a chapter on the disorders of specific mental functions, in addition to general theoretical data, brief descriptions of psychodiagnostic techniques are designed to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative parameters of the recorded changes.
