Kurt Koffka (1886-1941) is a well-known German-American psychologist.
Along with Max Vertheimer and Wolfgang Clerger, it is considered one of the founders of gestaltpsichology. He was engaged in practical aspects of using the principles of gestaltpsichology in the field of perception, training, development of the psyche, and social relationships. Thinking considered the transformation of the structure of a visual situation. In the work of the "Fundamentals of Mental Development" (1921), Koffka used the methods of gestaltpsichology to study the mental development of the child. This book is based on the first publication of labor in Russian, which saw the light in 1934, with the introductory article by L.S. Vygotsky, who helps the reader to enter the circle of the main problems of Gestaltheuria and understand its place among the directions of psychology that developed at that time.
