Classical directions in psychological counseling and psychotherapy have gained universal popularity, being the foundation not only in the field of human knowledge, but also in specific therapeutic assistance. Together with personality theories, specific practical tools were also born, which allowed people to help people with various intrapersonal and interpersonal problems. Recognizing the achievements of other areas of psychology and psychotherapy, representatives of the humanistic direction rightly believe that psychoanalytic, behavioristic, and other approaches do not seem to trust the person himself, imposing certain forms of analysis and influence. In contrast to them, representatives of humanistic and existential therapy see the main reserves in the personality of the person himself, in the forces of good, life meanings, love and being, in mental health and the desire for self -improvement. Therefore, representatives of the humanistic and existential direction consider the creation of conditions for the disclosure of their own reserves of the human person to their main task.
