Takeo Doi (1920-2009), professor of the International Christian University, Tokyo, one of the leading psychiatrists and psychoanalysts of Japan. Born in Tokyo, in 1942 he graduated from the Tokyo University. He occupied various posts at American institutes and universities, conducted research work at the Meninger University of Psychiatry and the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute, and was engaged in scientific work at the National Institute of Mental Health of Besesa (Maryland) For a long time he headed the psychiatry department of the International Hospital. St. Luke in Tokyo, professor of faculties of health and medicine of Tokyo University. T. Doi author and co -author of a number of scientific papers. One of his latest publications in English is the “psychological world of the National Society "(Harvard University Press, 1976)
