Psychological image of Russians (based on the study of residents of the Kostroma region)

The monograph describe the consistent implementation of the model of the psychological appearance of the ethnos in an empirical study. The three-membered ethnopsychological structure proposed by the author was based on working with a methodological material, and also became the principle of analyzing empirical data obtained during the survey of residents of the Kostroma region as typical representatives of Russian people.
The paper presents a bulk empirical material associated with the study of three levels of psychological appearance of Russians: 1) value orientations, 2) relationships and behavior in various life situations, 3) generalicular characteristics. The results obtained are distinguished by the latitude of the spectrum of psychological characteristics, which makes it possible to use this material for subsequent analysis of various subethnos (Muscovites, Petersburgers, Sibiryakov, etc) as a comparison and identify the corresponding ethnopsychological trends in the Russian ethnicity in the time dynamics.
The application to the monograph includes a number of techniques, in particular, the identification of the psychological appearance of the ethnos". This toolkit, repeatedly tested in the author"s local ethnopsychological work, allows for large-scale empirical studies of other ethnic groups
