The book covers the life path and scientific work of Konstantin Konstantinovich Platonov (1906-1984), an outstanding scientist of the twentieth century, a doctor of medical and psychological sciences, who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of many areas of Russian psychology - aviation and military psychology, labor psychology, and pedagogical psychology and professional pedagogy, psychology of sports, medical psychology, social psychology, legal and criminal psychology, psychology of religion, personality psychology, general psychology, theory and history of psychology. Platonov managed to develop a psychological concept of personality, which absorbed the best achievements of the domestic psychology of individual differences, the experience of the school V.M. Bekhtereva, to propose a scientific concept, originally conceived as a theoretical base for practice-oriented studies of a wide profile. Platonov took over the work of revising and streamlining the conceptual apparatus of psychological science based on a systemic methodology. The main task of the authors of the book was to analyze the origins of the polyprofessionalism of the work of K.K. Platonov, phenomena of a rather rare in the era of a deep specialization of sciences
