The textbook presents the history of the emergence of a new field of knowledge in special psychology. In connection with the emergence of meaningful dominants in special psychology, aimed at improving the quality of life of children with developmental disorders and strengthening their psychological health, the factors of psychological well-being of children with disrupted psychogenesis are revealed, their significance and influence on the process of personality formation, cognition of the surrounding world, and the success of children's achievements under targeted psychological influence are identified. The directions for improving the psychological ecology of children's lives in psychocorrectional work are provided.
