Psychological diagnosis of candidates for replacing parents

The practical leadership is devoted to the psychological selection of candidates for replacing parents - people who want to take a orphan child. A review of research on this problem is presented, the author’s concept of psychological diagnosis, the algorithm and testing procedure, a detailed description of the method of conducting a semi -structured interview and all the psychodiagnostic complex of methods that are developed by the authors. The analysis of the experience of testing this diagnostic complex in a large sample of candidates for replacing parents, and the experience of using psychodiagnostic methods in the process of selecting mothers-educators for the first Russian children"s village-SOS is given
