The book is devoted to the problem of borders and their violations in psychoanalysis. Using an extensive theoretical and clinical material, the authors explore the concept of borders and their development, violations of sexual and unexpected boundaries and types of analysts most prone to this. Disassembleing examples of boundaries violations, the authors explain the reasons leading to them, and note the destructive influence of these disorders on the therapeutic process. The history of a change in the attitude to borders in the process of development of psychoanalysis is shown - from Z. Freud to modern psychoanalysis.
