Bethi technique, or olive quilt, is a rather rare and old variety of bulk embroidery, originated in the south of France, in Provence. She seemed to have absorbed all the best than these places famous: Delightful landscapes, fertile lands, soft and warm climates. Even the most uncomfortable motifs of this embroidery look sophisticated and exquisitely, because they are performed by hand on a very thin white tissue with white threads, thanks to which the products themselves are expensive and stylish. Thugs, decorated with letters of boutique, can afford not everyone, that is why Dominic Lera took a bold step and a little revised the techniques of this technique, making this art to become more affordable. The ornaments presented in the book projects are inspired by the traditional motives of Provence of the XVII century, but the models themselves are relevant and in our days: pillowcases, bedspreads, booties, panels and even postcards! In addition, the author offers in addition to white threads to use and color, which is not entirely familiar to Bethi technology. For convenience in the book, templates and patterns of each model are embedded, which makes the work process even more enjoyable. Go along with us to a fabulous journey, where traditions and modernity intersect, and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Provence!
