Protective and decorative materials and coatings for wood and wood-based materials. Educational guide.

The textbook covers the properties of paint and coating materials for wood, knowledge of which is necessary for the competent construction of the technological process for forming a reliable, long-lasting protective-decorative coating. The main focus is on practical issues that develop skills and abilities to work with paint and coating materials for wood and beyond, as well as research on the processes, formation, and determination of the condition of paint coatings, and prevention of defects. The proposed algorithms for conducting laboratory work correspond to the methods recommended in the relevant standards. For full-time and part-time students, graduate students in forestry and wood processing specialties, as well as teachers and engineering-technical workers in the furniture and wood processing industries working with paint materials and involved in technological processes of forming protective-decorative coatings on wood, wood materials, and metal surfaces.
