The second edition of the book contains modern ideas about the choice of a rational method of obtaining billets for machine-building parts. The technological features of obtaining billets that ensure their high quality with minimal costs are considered. Separately presents the basic principles of increasing the technological details for various ways to obtain billets. The effect of technological properties of metals and alloys on the quality and efficiency of the obtained parts is considered. In a separate chapter, the basic principles of improving the efficiency of small-scale production of blanks are set forth.
The data contained in the book, mathematical formulation and algorithms of solving some tasks can be used in formalizing knowledge to develop systems of automated design of technological processes in procurement production.
