Natalia Chernykh is a poet, essayist, and prose writer, born in the closed city of Chelyabinsk-65. She studied to become a librarian in Lviv and Moscow. In the early 1990s, she made her debut in the samizdat collection "Absolute Life." In 1996, her collection of poems "Shelter" was published by the "Argo-Risk" publishing house, and subsequent books were mainly released by independent publishers. Her works have been published in magazines such as "Novy Mir," "Volga," "Vozdukh," and others. She collaborates with popular online literary portals. Since becoming acquainted with unofficial literature, to which Chernykh has dedicated numerous essays, her interest has been focused on experimental poetry. She is the author of the novels "Weak, Strong" (2015, long-listed for the "Big Book" award) and "Unfinished Chronicle of Clothing Movements" (2018). She currently lives in Moscow.
