The life path and spiritual evolution of the main character of the book - the Baptizer of Rus, Prince Vladimir, the phenomena of love, power, faith, honor, and dignity, which are timeless, and much more, constitute the essence of the poetic interpretation of events from the ancient history of the homeland. The epic recreates the multifaceted life of Vladimir and the country he led: it includes room for political calculations and romantic passions, battle scenes and everyday life sketches, descriptions of nature and philosophical reflections, economics and aesthetics, noble feelings and despicable actions. A significant part of the book is devoted to the tumultuous love adventures in the fate of the main character and his rethinking of the very essence of love in the light of a new faith. The result of Prince Vladimir's reign was a new country that was able to defend its independence and uniqueness in a long historical perspective. All of this is narrated in the poetic novel "Prince Vladimir" by Irina Kolganova, which is based on the chronology and interpretation of events recognized by the majority of historians.
