The textbook is intended for students of higher education institutions in the field of "Sports", specializing in "Scientific and Methodological Support of Sports", as well as for physical education university teachers and sports coaches. The textbook covers the importance, content, objectives, means, and methods of pre-competition training for highly qualified athletes. It presents the structure of the pre-competition mesocycle and the content of microcycles. Mastering the educational material presented in the textbook will expand students' understanding of the content and purpose of pre-competition training for athletes.
