Currently, there is a correction of the structure and content of the basic training of educational programs for bachelor's and specialist degrees in higher education, particularly affecting the core of the basic part. Increasing the credit units for certain disciplines (such as "History of Russia" and others), as well as the allocation of a separate module for digital competencies, change the number of hours allocated for contact work with students on the disciplines of this module, including computer science, informatics, basics of artificial intelligence, etc. In many universities, the number of hours is reduced to 16 classroom sessions, with laboratory work being transformed into practical exercises.
This educational manual reflects the aforementioned changes in the educational programs for bachelor's and specialist degrees in higher education and is intended for first-year students to carry out practical work on the discipline "Informatics and Basics of Artificial Intelligence," as well as other disciplines that study the application of modern information technologies to solve professional tasks.
The manual contains practical exercises for solving professional tasks using information technologies and the Python programming language. Each practical exercise in the manual contains tasks of different levels for variants, intended for completion in the computer class during study time, as well as tasks for independent completion. The task variants take into account the specifics of the direction/specialty of training. Most tasks are accompanied by brief theoretical information necessary for their completion.
The manual includes trajectories for completing tasks, allowing the teacher or student to build an individual educational trajectory based on them.
The completion of practical work is aimed at developing the corresponding general professional competence, namely understanding the principles of modern information technologies and their use for solving tasks in professional activities.
