Practical Phonetics Course of the English Language

The textbook for the first time systemically and details describe all the main aspects of the British and American literary pronunciation in comparison with Russian. The analysis of pronunciation trends inherent in live speaking speech is also presented.
The goal of the course is the formation of regulatory pronunciation, British and / or American, and the development of the ability to correctly use phonetic forms in the intercultural communication process.
Each chapter contains a large number of examples, drawings and diagrams. At the end of the subsections, a detailed analysis of the most typical errors arising from the influence of the Russian pronunciation or interference of both options, and the methods of their correction are described.
Tasks, exercises and tests in the second part of the textbook are equipped with keys.
